Frequently asked questions
Does Hisabnex work without internet?
Yes. Billing, stock, customer and supplier accounts, cash and bank, expenses and reports all work fully offline. The internet is used only to check for a new version, to confirm the licence and to open the help guide.
Where is my shop's data kept?
On your own phone. Nothing is sent to a server. You can save a backup file whenever you like and keep it in Google Drive, on WhatsApp or on a memory card; the logo and signature go into the backup too.
Which shops can use it?
Any counter: kirana and grocery, medical and pharmacy, clothing, footwear, hardware, iron and steel, electrical, mobile, dairy, cosmetics, agriculture, furniture, stationery and more. Pick one or several kinds of shop and only those categories are offered.
Is it in Hindi?
Yes. The app works in Hindi and English, and the help guide is in Hinglish and English.
Can I keep udhaar (credit) accounts for customers and suppliers?
Yes. Every bill is kept under a mobile number, so whatever is left unpaid is in that person's account. Each bill shows how it was paid: with the bill, from an advance, or later. Reminders go out on WhatsApp in one tap.
Does it track cash and bank separately?
Yes. The cash drawer and the bank each have their own history with the balance after every entry, and a payment can never be more than the drawer or the bank holds.
Can a customer return goods?
Yes. Turn on Returns from customers in Settings, then open the sale and tap Return items. The goods go back in stock, or are written off if damaged, and the customer is paid back in cash, by bank, or off their account.
Does it print bills on a thermal printer?
Yes. There are five bill designs, including an 80 mm roll for thermal printers, with your logo and signature. Bills can also be saved as PDF or sent on WhatsApp.
Can I send my accounts to my CA?
Yes. The business report gives profit, expenses, cash and bank, dues, stock value and best-selling items, saved as PDF, Excel or CSV.
How much does it cost?
The app is free to download and free to use for 30 days. After that the shop continues with a licence code; contact us for the current plan.
